That's never been in a barn in its life.

I see it has a Stromberg carb. My father had 105/123E's 1962 to about 1966.
Did Ford start to fit Stromberg at some point ?
The factory carb (type ?) was a pain and when we fitted a 1500 engine to what was a 1200 "Super" we also fitted a 1.5 inch SU. Started and ran like a dream with that carb. |

My Singer Chamois has a Stromberg, which the original owner fitted in the mid-1970s; among all the paperwork with the car is the original receipt and fitting instructions, which includes instructions for fitting to the Ford engine. I also have the alloy manifold adapter for the Ford application as shown in that ebay engine bay photo. _________________ in the garage: 1938 Talbot Ten Airline

I, too, have an alloy adaptor [for an SU]...
The Strombergs can have issues with pinholes in the diaphragm...
There is a hole in the roof.... |

Sold for £835 and 12 bids.
I thought there would have been more interest in something as rare as this. _________________ Starting Handle Expert

Maybe it is because of the styling? The station wagon is more bland than the typical Anglia saloon which I would prefer because of that, even if it is less practical. _________________ a car stops being fun when it becomes an investment |

Hi
I bet bidding would have been stronger if it had been a Friary or an Abbott conversion.
Has anybody seen one of these at a show recently, or even ever? _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

More likely because of the severe corrosion? It's my guess, most of the lower body shell would need replacing. |
