Thanks Rick.
Very Happy
No, nothing decided, though I really am not in any danger of having to make that decision yet. That said, I think I will have a dark colour on the bottom half and light on top....perhaps dark blue and cream.

I collected 27 different Corgi J Types...and their liveries provide some inspiration. I particularly like the Morris Service one.

(will see if I can do a pic)

the colour likenesses aren't bad here. 3rd down is the one I like. The National Benzole looks a superb model, but the yellow might be too intense on my cab somehow....sort of won't look old fashioned. The Wall's Icecream one was the first I got. I like its pastel shades...very 1950s....but possibly a bit too girly?

Hi

Good to see some photos of a project, looks like you are really getting stuck in and doing a good job too!

Look forward to seeing the project progressing in the future.

Cheers

Hi Rivet

Agreed Js seem to lend themselves well to a 2 tone scheme - in fact I reckon some pastel shades look great on them - at least you're not including the one below in your final choice!!! Very Happy

Rivet, congratulations on the work you have done so far! Theres an old quotation, those that can, do. Those that cant, teach! Have you ever thought of giving up teaching? For your first project, you are showing some talent!

You have totally made my day, Uncle Joe.

I like teaching, no question, but when I am in my workshop I am TOTALLY CONTENT.

Wouldn't it be great of people paid you to do that.

Excellent progress, I'm still waiting on the panels from Iain but hope to collect them shortly. I had intended reparing the rear arches but had second thoughts after removing them, new items from Iain may be a lot less hastle.

You seem to have mastered the black art of welding very well. What wire feed/current mix did you use (mine is a Clarke 150TE)

Was the front panel 'as found' or a replacement. Mine has suffered some damage to the bottom centre area.
