Ray,
Lucas CAV used to have a fabulous book, sadly I lost my copy when I changed jobs, it was similar tables but the one you linked looks American standards whereas UK cables are a very fifteenth multistrand rating.
The Lucas book had what they called Volt Drop "Nomograms" for sizing cables on all types of systems including charging circuits and battery supplies. The UK cable standards are multistrand 14 strands of 0.30 (inch? mm? - Can't recall) or 28/0.30, 64/0.30 etc..
If anyone has a copy of this CAV publication it would be very nice to get a copy of it.
It was the Bible for building special vehicle wiring systems and marine gear.

I guess you need to work out the cross sectional area of the cable core to compare.

The .030 figure is mms. I would have known these cables as 14/012.
