No, the box you sold was SS1 or SS2. I'm not sure off hand whether the ratios were the same but externally they looked the same. Looking at this data:

I think the ratios differ so presumably your box was SS2.

The SS Jaguars use a similar box but the top cover/ remote change is a more compact design.

The 1½ litre Jaguar differs from the others but looks similar externally except that it has the "V" form rear mount instead of the flat one that the SS1 & 2 and 2½ litre and 3½ litre SS Jaguars have.

The Standard 10, 12 and 14 also used boxes that are similar externally but they all have long direct gear levers.

I may have a guy closer to home who has a few old boxes in his yard. I shall hopefully get one from him. Thanks for enquiring with your friend but the price plus shipping is a little too much for me at the moment. You have given lots of useful info so I can hopefully get the correct one Very Happy
