Hi
A very nice looking blue Spitfire on the M6 at Keele this morning, then later an orange one crossed in front of me at some T/lights nr Kidderminster and then black Moggie 1000 at Chalford nr Stroud. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

Passed a black late Capri on the A30-3 this morning, it was actually overtaking traffic and going quite quick! _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

This afternoon I had an interesting chat with the owner, Steve Newton, who lives in the same village as me and handles Austin Twelve spares for the club. This 'heavy' twelve is a real beauty with tremendous attention to detail. It was at one time owned by "Motor for the millions" author the recently departed Bob Wyatt.
Steve also has a chummy and a 20hp - so a rather nice Austin family.

Hi
Saw this in Newbury yesterday, it isn't a vehicle but I thought it of interest.
Mansion House Street is very short, perhaps the mayor, aldermen and councillors were susceptible to smoke and noise.

Spotted a couple of Minors around Newport yesterday. First was a tidy black example with 4 doors, moving quickly S along the Risca bypass - quickly enough that I reckon it must have been modded in some way, but nothing obvious to see. Second one I didn't get a good look at, it was dark coloured and parked up on Bassaleg Road close by the Handpost junction, I have a feeling this one's a regular user that I've seen around before. |

A number of pre-war stuff, Alvis's, Wolseley's, also Volvo "Amazon" and some Mercedes R107's on the A6 heading south from Lancaster this morning. It looked like a group run of some kind. _________________ 1974 Mk1 Escort. |

Hi
Just got back from Swindon where I saw this at lunchtime.
I came back via the Wirral and used the M54 and then all the way up the A41 which was very fruitful
There was a green mini at this garage before Neport

Then later a Riley Pathfinder or 2.6 towing a caravan, a blue Citroen GS(I think) came on a few cars ahead at Whitchurch, then it went a different way; an orange VW camper with the V front, but I didn't see a split screen; there was also a pink, very upright looking, prewar Rolls Royce somewhere along there; and then nearer to Chester this outside a garage.

Spent the day at Great Dorset yesterday, we try to look at different sections more each year we go. My Brother had his GMC on display in the military section this year too. We had a good look round the cars, not many considering the size of the show but what we saw was really good. There was a nice Jowett Kestrel, and a superb late 40's Vauxhall Wyvern. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

I would suggest it is a 1935 light 20 that would have originally been bodied as a limousine by one of the great coachbuiling concerns of the time.
I have no idea when the van conversion took place. |
