Within a dew days of qualifying as a rigger from RAF Halton 1968 & posted to RAF Benson, I was on a "Sport para" course at Weston on the Green (also known as WoG Air).
Monday morning we arrived, Monday afternoon chatted about it, Tuesday morning did a few practice jumps on the hanger floor and Tuesday afternoon we jumped!
I managed to do 10 before coming to my senses, all from a Dragon Rapide (with a blowing head gasket)!
Cheers, Tony. _________________ It may work in practice, but not necessarily in theory! |

Morning all,
Yesterday en-route back from Rednal, for the Rally of the Tests, we popped into Sleap (both former WW2 airfields). Given that the weather was so nice, there was plenty going on. Highlights included the wonderful old Anson (in its relatively new livery), the Yak, and a couple of Chipmunks.

I enjoy dropping in at Sleap when visiting my son at Wem. It has a really cosy, friendly, atmosphere. _________________ 1974 Mk1 Escort. 1992 Mk1 Golf Clipper Cabriolet Auto. |
