Question, my 1942 Commer handbook quotes the gearbox oil as 'Shell EP Spirax Heavy', would that be EP 90 or EP 140?

Yes Rick, I have been advised against the EP oils. The WD oil grade in the book is C600, I have now been reliably informed the modern equivalent is SAE140 which is safe for use with yellow metals. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |
