I would not expect to see this E - Type Jaguar being used in any sort of unrestored condition. I would want to restore it to as good and authentic condition as possible but no doubt others will have different ideas?

"Patina" was a word disappearing from common usage, but the wheel turns and people are now attracted to cars with "character". This won't be one of them thought I fear even though it doesn't need an MOT now! It could be done though, and to me it would look far better with the body left as is and mechanically having received a lot of TLC. But that's just me I suppose. |

I remember how these old Jags rotted from the inside out ...and that was when I was working on them back in the '70s... so goodness know what this one would be like now!!
What amazes me are the silly prices that some people think they are worth...... even in this condition. |

Just stand behind any E-type & press down on both rear light clusters.

I think you are talking about the open cars. The coupe would have a lot of strength in the roof. |
