Evening
The Pilot is on its original 6v +ve earth wiring.
Regarding the coil, should the live feed from the ignition switch go to the + or - terminal on the coil?
Thinking it's ignition switch to the negative terminal on the coil, and positive terminal on the coil to the distributor?
Older coils were usually marked SWitch or CB (Contact Breaker) which made things easier.

For +ve earth vehicles the ignition switch feed should be negative and the contact breaker positive.
Its more straight forward when the coil is marked + & - , for coils marked CB & SW, you dont know whether the labelling is for + or - earth, without doing a pencil test.
