Any one got experience of a not too expensive carb refurbisher? I have several Zenith 30VMs but all of them have modest to severe wear on the butterfly cross shaft bearings. I know of people like Burlen services, but they are quite expensive. Personal testamonials would be welcome.
Cheers!

They are local to me, and I have used them several times over the years. As Greeney says they only supply parts, but have an enormous stock and will supply indiviual parts.
On one occasion I needed a rebuilt/new card for a 100E I was restoring but could not justify their £70 price when the car had only cost £100. They recommended a Renault 5 carb as a bolt on replacement requiring only a mod to the accelerator linkage. £3 at the local breakers yard and the car ran beautifully until I sold it. _________________ Brian

Thanks everyone. I also did a web search and came up with http://www.carburettorspecialists.com
sent them a mail and they have 1 new old stock unit in stock. Not cheap but the last time I saw a new one Noah was in nappies so I've raided the piggy bank.
will let you know the outcome.
