Having a clearout so have the following for sale, postage extra
The Chain-drive Frazer Nash by David Thirlby
1967 book, practically a bible on the GN and Frazer Nash cars, including a complete history of the cars, and a register of all surviving GN's, and a register of all Frazer Nash's built. Also 35 very nice black and white photos. Dust cover little bit tatty but apart from that, great condition for its age. Hardback, 237 pages, £18
The Tourist Trophy Replica Frazer Nash by profile publications
Booklet covering the Frazer Nash TT replica car, very nice photographs and colour drawing. £2
The Land Speed Record 1930-1939 by Brooklands Books
Taken from the front page - 'A portfolio of contemporary reports telling how the Land Speed Record was raised from 231.36mph in 1930 to 368.85mph in 1939. Featured are articles on Kaye Don's Silver Bullet, Sir Malcolm Campbell's Blue Birds, George Eyston's Thunderbolt and John Cobb's Railton together with a foreword by David Tremayne'. Softback, 140 pages, excellent condition, £10
The Fast Set - Three extraordinary men and their race for the Land Speed Record by Charles Jennings
Very good book on Malcolm Campbell, Henry Segrave and John Cobb, including racing days at Brooklands as well as their land speed record attempts. Very enjoyable and has a good selection of black and white photos. 342 pages, good condition, £3
Hand list of RNLI tractors and station allocations by Jeff Morris
Interesting for those interested in RNLI Lifeboats, this book has photos and station allocations for all of the launching tractors used by the RNLI for launching lifeboats and towing lifeboat carriages. It also has a list of lifeboat stations with the tractors that were there, so you don't have to trawl through the list of tractors to see what was at a particular station. The book was published in 1990 so only accurate up to that date, but interesting alone for the photos of the older launching tractors. Softback, 18 pages, excellent condition, £2
I have lots of other RNLI books for sale if of interest, just PM me.
Cheers, Rob |
