While looking for an old bike advertisement for another thread I came across these. I copied them from the 'Globe Magazine' dated 1916.

From the prices I would imagine the Humber was considered a very upmarket car at the time.

I think much of the Saxon was US sourced. I never realized they retreaded tyres in 1916. Shocked

hello Pigtin the bit about early retreads joged the white brainbox . back in the early 1960s i had a dozen or so tyres given to me from the old cock garage at boughton monchelsea among them was a beaded edge car tyre as hard as a board with a label quoting retread or remould . cant rember whitch. regards The Fly
