As a former GM dealership panel beater & jig operator I can confirm that from an industry point of view the only place brazing should be used is for panel joints which are subject to imminent corrosion such as body side to roof at the screen edge etc. where wiping metal would have been used before it was outlawed in commercial operations.
Even here it was to provide joint edge protection and was in addition to correct structural welding procedures.
The only good argument for the use of brazing is if restoring an area where this was the original construction method and you can't make a blanket claim for it without quoting the wire composition as UTS and joint flexibility vary with composition,
