What a load of waffle. Clearly someone who does not need to get anywhere. I trained as a motorcycle mechanic in the early 70s and that old arguement was rattling on then. Nostalgia just aint what it used to be. New big tourers handle well (generally), are very comfortable and stop very well. My wish list bike is a BSA A10 but the best bike to live with was my 1979 Suzuki GS1000. |

Hello Nik waffle is a polite term for it .Ibought a suzy kettle new in 1975 made a pair of leading links fitted a Wesex chair used it for 7 years the only failure in that time was one burnt out wiring conection . Other work was just routine maintanance, On a lighter note i draged the ktt from the shed on tuesday and gave it a blast up the poad open pipe the lot so will be 17 for a few days . Regards Les |

Hi Les, nice one. It's great to be a kid again for a while. It reminded me of when I was on my Suzy 380 J and I had been trundling across London and I came to the Old Kent Road fly over and it was clear. I opened the throttle and splutter splutter, slowly the engine cleared, I looked behind me and a large bit of London had dissapeared under a cloud of oil smoke. Ah those were the days. |

I like the BMW in the picture, and not a million miles away from my 1957 CJ750 in BMW guise on which I've covered about 1000 trouble free miles in the last year and always with a grin on my face
