This little beauty is up for disposal at the minute! You can read her history here if you're interested. She needs to be moved this month, let's hope the scrapmen don't get near her...

very sad, I've seen this too, you can't help notice it really, a once beautiful aircraft sitting in the middle of an old scrapyard!...does catch your eye.
........it'll probably be on E-bay one day "one careful owner, just need minor TLC, bit of polish, ready to fly away"!!! |

The A1 is quite good for plane spotters. Just 35 miles south of the Lightning you can see a Harrier in rather better looking condition just by the roadside.

Hi
Is it a real one, or one of those American fakes?
The Imperial War Museum in Manchester has a Yank one suspended from it's ceiling. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

The Harrier sits outside RAF Wittering but I've never stopped to examine it.

Around ten years ago there was a Fairey Gannet in a back garden in Cirencester, it could be seen by anyone driving on the ring road. It was quite bizarre, sitting there with its wings folded. I think it's now at White Waltham. |
