I must be getting old - the idea of buying something pre-war that could be used straightaway has been growing in appeal. Last week I spotted this and went to view, after which we did the deal, and today I went back over to collect it - a very scenic, if incredibly twisty, run over the Yorkshire Dales...
Back home, and with the insurance sorted it was out for a quick blast around the block.
It was restored 6-7 years ago, and has been looked after ever since, with just a few flaws to the paint here and there but mainly still very tidy, inside and out. The number has been lost at some time or other, but that's life I suppose.
The Devon may well have to go to make room for this one, but I'm getting to prefer pre-war motors anyway so it won't be the end of the world if the A40 moves on

At this rate Rick your next car could be steam powered. _________________ 1936 Morris 8 Series 1

I'll take some when it's next outside.
There's a local VSCC run out tomorrow evening, hopefully not too many miles, all being well we'll take the MM for a spin and see how it goes.....must get some fuel beforehand, as the fuel gauge is u/s at the moment so I'm relying on a dipstick (well, an old piece of bamboo..!)
