|
|
Hi boys and girls.
I need a rivnut tool. Has anybody made one and if so what form did it take ( no reason to re-invent the wheel). I need to fit some (5 or 6 off) 5/16" or 8mm rivnuts and I don't want to buy one to fix such a small number.
Thanks in advance |

This system can work. Using a hi-tens capscrew, as per link, may be safest way. A good arrangement of washers, or even make one, with a coating of grease.

Hi
If you were local you could borrow one from me, maybe a member closer to you has one they can lend you?
Cheers

Hi
the link shows how to repack a sealed bearing, but it tells to repack as much grease as will go in, this is not strictly true for the bearings that are "Sealed" is it?
They need less grease than one may think. Overgreasing will cause the seals to pop and the bearings to overheat?
Well they did to the ones my friend tried on a agricultural machine.
Anyway I am going off topic!
Cheers

I'm sure I'll be able to make something work along those lines. Thanks. |
