OK which one is the Morris 8 and which one is the MG Midget? The strange thing is that I was sorting the dizzy from the Morris and the old dizzy from the MG was to hand. Comparing the 2 it became apparent that the shafts were the same length and the vernier quickly confirmed the diameter was the same. I could hardly contain myself so I had to slip it in. It just needs the vac removed and a bit of adjustment of the width of the spade thingy that locates into the slot thingy.
Not very original but then the car is about as original as an Elvis tribute. _________________ 1936 Morris 8 Series 1

It suddenly struck me that the MG B dizzy does not have a vac advance on it so yep I slipped that one in and it fits so I made a clamping plate.
The engine fired up first crank and it is running very smoothly. I took it out for a quick spin but it is not pulling well. I will try tweeking the timing and will give it another run tomorow. I will remake the leads and clean it up when it running OK. _________________ 1936 Morris 8 Series 1
