Just wondered if anyone was going to the GDSF this year. We are there with our 1960 Car Cruiser in the Collections section. _________________ I can resist anything except temptation ! ( Oscar Wilde)

I've never been to this one yet.
I've tried booking in several times over the years and had no reply.
So now I think, "Sod'em". If they don't want my presents they can stick their show...... where the sun don't...... _________________ Series 3 1972 LWB Truck Cab Pick Up. My daily drive. |

Had an invitation to attend this year but decided against going. Heard car show chums saying about how you must stay on site for five days, too many 'undesirable types' seem to be attending in large numbers and the cost of the whole adventure made me decide thanks but no thanks. |

Who are these undesirable types...women by any chance.
I know what you mean about displaying at Dorset..you have to stay for the week and be with your exhibit all day long...unless it is something you can lock up and leave.
Brilliant event all the same though.
P.S What is this collectors section.?

The collections section is down by the horse ring and has exhibitors showing their various collections, from vintage washing machines, Tilley lamp collection, old tools, magic lanterns and our collection of shaving paraphinailia from victorian times onward. As long as your exhibit is on show you can leave the site anytime or just look around. Takes a full week to see it all. As for undesirables, been there exhibiting for 20 years or more and never had or seen any trouble. _________________ I can resist anything except temptation ! ( Oscar Wilde)
