It's funny how these threads spread..there is a similar thread on UKSaabs at the moment so my answer will be the same..In a Viva HA Roma camper van i found..
Empty can of beer circa 1980
Empty can of Coke circa 1977
I can't find a pic but there was also an unopened can of Newcastle brown ale..unopened but the beer had long since evaporated.
In the Hillman Hunter a "family size" tub of paracetamol..
Various tools in my current car and a wooden ruler behind the rear 1/4 cards in my 1962 SAAB..well beyond use as it had twisted and bowed with heat. _________________ Rust Junky & oil addict. |

In my Peugeot D4B I found lots of these flyers:
Translated:
It was a day of festivities organized by a kind of charity association that takes care of people at home in the country.
In the morning a walk
In the afternoon a parade with dance as theme and the participation of the drum majorettes of Saint Julien l'Ars
(Drum majorettes were very appreciated during the 70's-80's)
Cold buffet - Refreshments - brochettes
Rural meal in the evening
then a free ball
(not sure if those majorettes would be quite so fresh now 29 years later!!) |

If anyone wants a pair of those ridiculous carbon fibre walking poles so beloved of 'keen ramblers', then they are welcome to the pair I've just found stuck behind the back seats in my Series 3 Land Rover.
Don't all rush at once ..... |

I can think of at least 5 good responses to that, but sadly all would contravene this forums Terms Of Use..... |

I found my e83w Van at the local garbage dump, the dump manager said they were going to crush all the cars and trucks shortly.
So I pulled the grill off the van and hung it on my shop wall-- automotive art.
When the day got closer for the big crush I went back and had a better look at the Thames.
I looked in the back and there were 3 engines scattered and buckets of rusty parts and nuts/ bolts.
It had one tire flat so we pumped it up and my friend with a big Ford Pick up drove down to see what I was up to. I talked him into a tow.
We hooked a rope to both and towed it 2 miles to my shop.
Mechanical brakes worked and steering felt tight.
I was cleaning it out and taking a inventory of the parts I felt above the windshield and found the owners papers and registration. Last registered
1964.
years later I saw a coffee table book showing some of the older buildings and people from this area. One photo showed my Thames out in front of the grocery. The old owner Bill Lavelette used the van to deliver food for many years.
