I have taken out the modern calor cooker from my caravan now, too many negative comments from show goers (rightly). My original parrafin Rippingilles No 64 (or No164?) is short of one of its two burners, has anybody got one to sell please? Also what sits in the two burner holes at the top of the stove, as something appears to be missing?

Mine has a couple of round cast-iron plates. The burner things are thin tin and usually rust away by now.

Just checked mine out, it has cast-iron discs with a flattened edge and slots, just inside the top apertures. The apertures are then covered in black enamelled steel covers with flat 'handles' (would need to use a lifting tool?). I think these are what must be missing from yours. Should be possible to have some made. I can send pictures/dimensions if you want.
The 'hot plates' would not need the top covers in order to cook, I think the covers are just to retain heat when using oven only. Just guessing.
I have seen this type of stove used with a gas burner hidden beneath it, so it looks ok to the general public, and practical. You lose that nice warm paraffin smell though. Smile
