Hello.
Didn't bid on the Elf, the good lady didn't like it, and obviously it needed painting! We have just sold the 'Stirling' and need something narrower due to storage restrictions. We are moving home and will no longer have 'the field'.

wasn't so sure of the Ensor in green either, but it a turn off, but horses for courses, must had pleased the previous owner and wouldn't take too long to have a fresh coat of paint should the new owner want to
Would be nice if it turned up on here too!

What a nice little egg type shaped van this is.There have been plenty of so called classic caravans on ebay of late but not many grab your attention, externally or internally.
This is one that is a bit different to the norm.
With a nice matching period tow vehicle of the same shape or contours it would look great displayed at any rally or show.
It has to be a 1950`s vehicle...Austin perhaps.
Any other suggestions of vehicle.

Hello All,
Had we been successful with our bid we would have put it behind a P4 Rover.
Best Regards.

Hi all, p4 rover good choice when i picked up the van, the lady who had the van from new told me that their tow car was a Vauxhall f type victor, this came as a pleasant surprise ! because i had bought a restored f type back in september and had been looking for a light weight van to show with the car,
I intend to paint the van two tone red and white to match the car
Regards .. OVM |

Rip out that original interior.ha ha
OH....and don`t forget the Kath Kidson look to the interior.
Then you might get in the " COOL CARAVAN" book........you know you want too.
Victor F type +Caravan....might make the front cover.

yea..."my cool caravan " that well known "glamping" coffee table book
i think to truly qualify i will need to fit a wood burning stove , and some nice laminate flooring
although having said that i have ordered some "Bark cloth " retro curtain fabric its Red "Atomic" pattern, very period |

Laminate flooring.....I knew I had missed something.
I thought about contacting Homebase or Crap Is Us or something similar,to get them to sponsor me this winter,to build the most Bling Bling caravan out there.
Then I could get on some of those TV shows,Corporate days out,and display at the Caravan Show.
I understand there is another book out there called...Cool Campervan.

With that shape van, surely it should be towed by an Austin Somerset or Hereford? |

I agree nice shaped cars, but a bit under powered , personally i think the best tow car austin wise for that period van, is the A90 westminster i.e. short boot , stiff rear springing and a big torque engine,
But the thing is the van was pulled by a victor back in the day , i dont intend doing any big milages with the outfit, just some local shows nothing to stressfull OVM |
