Less than 2 days to go until Race Retro (see www.raceretro.com for details). I've been for the last four years and its worth the trip if you are into your classic motorsport

Good day yesterday, arrived nice n early and managed to park quite close to the main halls. I didn't look in at the auction, was there anything tasty up for grabs?

They wanted an extra 15 quid to go and view the lots...... hence I can't really say!

ouch, I can see why!
There was enough to look at anyway so I didn't get to the auction, met up with a few people I know, mithered a few memorabilia dealers for old photos etc, and had a few interesting conversations here and there, so a worthwhile trip out for me.

We had an enjoyable day yesterday but, on arriving before 10 o'clock, I was narked that the car park for advance ticket holders was one of the furthest away formt he halls - fortunately the weather was fine. Also narked that some autojumblers were packing up at 1.30 when we got as far as their stands.
I've never watched the rally stage before but did so yesterday and enjoyed it, even if it is all 90 Right, 90 Left, 90 Right, 90 Left...
I thought the show had improved over last year but I wish exhibition catering was better, good thing we took sarnies!
