Two people with classic caravans have contacted me to ask about insurance.
We use the AA, for our two 1960's vans. Can anyone recommend another company, please.
I think Footman James only insure the van if towed by a classic car, am I right? |

We use the caravan club, our is a 1967 and this year it was £50.00 ish but we joined the club so you have that to pay for as well but you get the use of the sites and a interesting mag even if it is for modern stuff |

Thanks for the replies, and the link to a previous enquiry. I must be going senile, we are insured with the Caravan Club, not the AA!! |

I insure my 1929 Eccles with K.Drewe, it is the only Company that I could find to offer insurance. Costs around 200 pounds year. |

We are also insured with K Drewe insurance, which is now known as LOOK Insurance Services. Tried the Caravan Club but they wouldn't insure us due to the age of the van (1979 Viking Fibreline). They could not value it and we would only get scrap value if anything happened. |

You would think an organisation the size of the Caravan Club would have the wherewithal to be able to offer a insurance package to owners of classic and vintage caravans! |
