Greetings from Finland
I apologize for my bad English language and Google translater.
I am restoring the old model of 1930 years Stylson RD motorcycle.
The engine in the bike is J.A.P. POY/W 927988 250 cc 62,5 X 80 9,2 hv / 4800 1/min.
I have troubles to find the parts for the engine.
The engine is missing one of the push rod, oversize piston and crankshaft bearings must be replaced.
Lenth of the pushrod is 280 mm with ends and diameter is 8,2 mm.
Connecting rod and crankshaft left hand side bearings would be good to get decent.
I have also not found any engine parts book or other information.
I have inquired the parts from Finland, and in many places abroad,
whether it would be JAP people in England because JAP is a British engine.
If someone with the same bike reads this I'd be interested to take contact
when I have not found a lot of information about this bike.
I am also interested in Burman Modell SM MO 40638 MIV or Modell R gearbox parts.
Regards MJ

As none of the experts seem to be about I thought I would offer some advice.
For crankshaft repairs try Alpha bearings in Dudley. They will be able to help.

I have just looked myself on the Internet, I was surprised, almost nothing.
Pushrod shouldn't be too difficult, find something longer, then modify, perhaps BSA single.
Piston, I think the same, look for the closest. Of course better if you can find the correct part.
If you are really stuck I have a friend with a CNC machine. A piston needs casting, one off, expensive. |

Hello and thank you for the tips.
I have found the parts but I have not had time to look for the piston.
I'm not a millionaire and the piston is not in a hurry,we have to forget the
casting.
I think that the pushrod finds from VW tuning parts firm.
Crankshaft bearing parts have started to do so that thing is OK.
The gearbox parts is a difficult thing.
In ebay was one for sale but it was someone who want in more than I,looked bad out and the price rose to 401 €. |

Try http://cameronracingengines.com they have the rights to make engines that are marked J.A.P. But I think they only deal in the larger engines. I used to go to school with the old man, Tim Cameron. |
