need to put the engine breather pipe back on, its in the boot missing one jubillee clip which I always forget to buy!!
With regards to heater hoses, I do not need it but if i did it'd still be unusable as its leaking. I do have the hoses though so my intention is to take it apart and see what's wrong, one day maybe!! |

hehe
temperature here is around 15/16 celsius today!!
so with a jacket on I can even wind down my window and open a bit the quarter window as well!!
I am quite enjoying driving it now, feels a much older car compared to the minis!!
I can see now why minis were so popular though, they must have felt completely different to the other offerings of the time, so light and responsive although the ride quality wasn't that good!!
On the other hand the hunter has a very good ride quality, you really do not feel any of the many bumps and potholes on the maltese roads!! |

Latest photos taken on sunday 23rd December!!
My daughter went running in whilst I was taking the photo of it and my friend's Hornet!!!!!
Here's a closer one of the hunter!
At the moment I'm busy with another small project I am doing (which I might mention in another thread) but when that's ready I'll be taking the hunter apart once more to have those panels I mentioned earlier resprayed!!! |

thanks welshrover, your cars look lovely too!!!
These are not particularly rare over here but sometimes makes it better when searching for parts!!!
Although that said I order much of the parts from speedy spares in UK!
Makes it cheaper and easier than phoning or driving around looking for parts!! |

Yesterday took the hunter out in the afternoon for a longer than usual run as I had to collect my wife from a hotel where she was attending a course organized by her workplace.
It behaved brilliantly throughout the trip even though its a bit hot right now but the temperature just climbed slightly above normal when moving slowly and would go down to normal on acceleration.
Was thinking of fitting an electric fan to aid cooling during the summer months though. Both my minis have one and it really does help to maintain a more constant temperature.
What I do not like is that it would show behind the grill and would look wrong!
Another problem is that the space is a bit limited although I guess that 2 smaller fans on each side would work well too.
Any ideas? |
