You want obscure?
My Austin Seven Opal was featured in two issues of Titch and Quackers in 1968, for which I received the princely sum of £20 (the car wa\s probably worth about £40 then)
I very much doubt if the BBC kept copies of children's programmes back then, but I've often wondered if there is a record of it in some dusty archive... |

Humber Hawk in Fabian of The Yard.
I would have been about 6 or 7 in 1956 I imagine when recalling this beauty.

It was a Ford (BB?) wasn't it?
However, Hodges had a Bedford O Series van which featured in a couple of episodes. _________________ Richard Hughes |

Didn't Inspector Jack Frost drive a Volvo estate in one of the early series of Frost?
Remembered one more as well : the dark blue Daimler 250 V8 in Bread. _________________ Starting Handle Expert

Del Boy had a few crackers in Only Fools and Horses, as well as the infamous Reliant Regal van, he also had a lime green MK2 Capri (the pratmobile!), a Vauxhall Velox PB and a MK2 Cortina Crayford convertible, that I can remember. _________________ Richard Hughes |

Occasionally they show the old black and white film of 'Blythe Spirit.' Rex Harrison drives a fabulous pre-war Triumph Dolomite drophead. _________________ Due to the onset of my mid eighties I'm no longer sprightly and rarely seen in my Austin special. I actually found my own Austin 10/4 on that. In Fred Dibnah's Steam Up.

Yes Inspector Jack Frost did drive a Volvo Estate after he had an accident in his Ford Sierra earlier in the series. But he did not have it for very long.
Does anyone know what Jeeves drove in Jeeves and Wooster? I know it is an early car. |

EWG - I'm pretty sure that Adam Adamant's Mini was a Radford. AIRC it had quarter light windows and a full walnut dash. My mind's image of the car also has it with Dunlop D1 wheels, Elpico roof ariel and a Webasto roof. Black but maybe a silver roof.
I also admit being sad enough to use the DVLA site to check the survival of car 'extras' in films!
Surely one of the most celebrated film cars must be the Prisoner's Lotus 7. But for me the 'coolest' would have been Bodie or Doyle's Dolomite Sprint before the Capri 's'es were issued to them. |
