I can remember in the TV Series Van Der Valk in the 80s, which was filmed in Amsterdam, there was a Austin K2 ATV. but it was painted Red and had the Dutch Post Office logo on it.
And it was in quite a few of the outdoor scenes as well.
Only noticed this as i also had my Austin K2 ATV at the time.
Cheers.
Bill. |

I loved the intro to the American TV show about secret agent Maxwell Smart with his lovely red Sunbeam Tiger - Get Smart..
I eventually owned an Alpine Series 5 GT as I could never afford a Tiger let alone find one. |

I've just speed-watched a couple of these, I don't know much about kits but it's certainly not set at Morgan even if it's based on it. Quite a few interesting cars in and around the action though - a white Audi quattro in one background, and a dark green Marina coupe. |

There was a1920s Lea Francis and a Guy Wolf bus in the early episodes of All Creatures Great and Small. There were loads of old cars, buses and tractors throughout the years that the series ran. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

Just remembered it was either a Rover 213 or 216 in Keeping up Appearences. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

I loved that series, thanks Peter. _________________ Due to the onset of my mid eighties I'm no longer sprightly and rarely seen in my Austin special. I have written a book though. https://amzn.eu/d/7rwRRqL |

Nice to see this thread back in line! Christmas viewing was a good time for car spotting in old films.
How about 'Carry on at your convenience' in which Richard O'Callaghan sets out to woo the lovely Jacki Piper with help from a white MG Midget VOP436J?
There's a nice red Capri RON759G featured, as well as a rough 100e and a (must have been brand new) Marina Coupe bought by Sid James from a win on the horses.
It would be interesting to know if these cars and other 'extras' vehicles survive. Imagine finding that your own car has had a walk on part in one of these productions!
Someone mentioned Frank Spencer's Moggy - AIRC it had the Reg 90YNY and was bought from a friend of mine here in Cardiff. |

You could search here for your own cars.

Hi
Just watched a Poirot from earlier today, The Mysterious Affair at Styles,
the Dailmler in it was the one I saw at the Horshoe back in 2009 though then it had a roof rack fitted.

Was just watching an old Bud Spencer and Terence Hill film yesterday, the 1974 movie 'Watch out, we're mad'. Lots of old cars, mark 1 escorts and capris, a sunbeam alpine being worked on, the dune buggy of course, mercedes and other big cars I did not recognize driven by the villains.
A good laugh was had!!
All those escorts being demolished in the auotcross!!!
How much would they be fetching today!!!! |

I watched Cadillac Records last night. as the title suggests lots of Cadillacs mostly 50's and early 60's, although they did get the years wrong quite often. Some good music too, which is what the film was really about. |
