I've always used old sump oil with a drop of turps sustitute to thin it in cold weather.Years ago when i was an apprentice we had a real life professor called in to look at corrosion on machinery,he used oil mixed with a liquid detegent on his morris minor and it looked immaculate. He reckoned the detergent made it sticky. |

well i first spray a mix off 50% parfin and 50% new cheap 20 50 engine oil in a hand spray this sokes in to any light rust in sills etc , and ther a month of two later i mix up 20% waxoil 40% parfin 40% old engine oil ,this gets heated up in a bucket of hot water and spraded on throw a waxoil hand pump (got it from halfrods) this stuff stays stickey all year long , on a very hot day a little ran out of my cars talegate , found this to be 100% beter than waxoil as it drys out after time |
