Hi All, I have a 1997 Rover 620 diesel that we use on the farm as a shunter (not road legal now) and the front brakes are sticking on it due to swollen seals. Obviously I dont want to buy new calipers for it or even pay a lot for secondhand ones so i'm wondering if anyone knows if I can just get new camiper seals?
Thanks _________________ 2013 Dodge Durango R/T Hemi

Welshie,
When callipers seize it's unlikely that a set of seals are going to fix the problem. The pistons are made from sintered (powdered) steel and then plated. They seize when the plating breaks down and the brake fluid gets in behind and 'swells' the metal. It's new piston & seals or exchange caliper I'm afraid.
