Hello Dave
Here is a picture of my ex-Cresta :

I'd love to trade my VW Bora V5 for a Triumph Vitesse 2-Litre Mk II Saloon... So hard to find in left hand drive!!! _________________ Frédéric Cros

Hi
You would be alright in a RHD wouldn't you? If not you could allways still convert it.
Nice Cresta too!
Cheers

Yes, I can probably manage with a RHD daily driver. I'm just concerned about places where I need to take a ticket or show a card (parking lots, motorways...).
The first owner of my ex-Cresta ordered it with the optional overdrive, thinking overdrive means automatic! He kept the car a couple of weeks and eventually return it to the Vauxhall dealer! The 2nd owner kept the Cresta until December 1999. At that time he was too old to drive, and sold it to me for a mere £150. I really enjoyed the Cresta as a daily driver, even in Paris. I did nothing on this car except the full brake system which cost me as much as the car itself! _________________ Frédéric Cros

Hi Frédéric
I think your models are excellent but I don't think the blue one was ever a colour scheme used by Rootes. Light blue should be much lighter.
See: http://www.oldclassiccar.co.uk/sunbeamrapier.htm
I think your colour may have appeared in Rootes artwork but I can't remember ever seeing an actual Series III or IIIA in that colour scheme.
