This is the annual show for my local car club (the South Cheshire Collectors Car Club, or SCCCC), we have a display for our club and invite a lot of local vehicles from individuals or other clubs. This year we had a new feature called "Rocker Box Racing" which consists of adding wheels to a standard rocker cover and racing them down a track. Music was by local band 'Vavoom'

We're always trying to find new ways to publicise the show, especially for no cost, but one thing is that Dave (the organiser) likes to have at least the majority of people there by invite or at least having filled out a form, so he's got an idea of how many are coming. At one point we were in danger of causing a traffic problem because of the combination of the show and the people who just wanted to go to the pub for lunch, so once it looked like we had a full field there wasn't much point pushing it further. I remember you suggesting I put it on here when I mentioned it at the Weaver Wander, but by then we thought it would be full. |

8th July this year, I know it clashes with a steam show somewhere but I'm not sure where. Space is quite tight again this year so it's pre-booked vehicles only for the display. |

Starts around 10am.
Dave, I've PM'ed you directly as I'm not sure I should post a phone number directly on here. |

Sadly this show has been postponed due to the weather, the volume of rain over the last few days has left the field severely waterlogged and, rather than risk damage to field or vehicles, Dave has decided to postpone it to later in the year.
It's ironic that after rain all day, I look outside and can see blue sky. And no, I haven't been on the beer early. |

That's a shame, it's almost bright out there right now, but I can well picture how bad the ground is after recent deluges.

Ah yes, that's the project car I mentioned in the "what's your worst car" thread. Lots done on it now though, I'll have had it four years in October. |
