If no luck a fabricator should be able to make them up without to much trouble. |

Agree but living in Sweden it´s difficult getting anything fabricated (SAABs ). Would you know of any firm who could take it on? |

These people should be able to take the work on : ADJ Engineering telephone 01538 360462
Or perhaps Paul Smith Engineering telephone 01732 851451
I have not used either but are recorded in the Austin 7 red book as recommended by owners who have been happy with services provided. I would think you will need to send a pattern to the Company that you decide to employ for the work. Both Companies offer small or one off job production or small batch. Good luck and let us know how you get on. |

Thanks for that. They should do nicely. I see that they are in steel whereas mine are aluminium. Will have to see if they are the same size. Def. same model |

The RS company have a subsiduary in Sweden. On the UK site you can buy a pack of 2 or next size which is 12. The swedish site quote pack of 2 or 24. For the 24 they want just over 80 quid. A bit expensive for a few window stays. I need 4 but if they are a bit different to the ones I have then maybe change them all. So would need 8. The 12 pack would do but 24, especially when they are so expensive. Will have a look at the other firm but that seems to be in Oz |

Alan
Have you tried the local Homebase or similar? These look suspiciously like the sort of stays one might use for kitchen cabinets/bureaus/drop-down fronts etc.
I did try a local huge RV dealer & all he could offer was "Wow, that's old!". But I'm fairly certain we had something very similar on a 70's Shasta that I had some years ago. I'll keep looking. _________________ Mike - MVPeters at comcast.net

Thanks. Live in Sweden so no Homebase Tried the local caravan places but just got the -oh that´s old- look aswell. These were very common in the 50s and 60s but seem to have vanished now. There are more modern ones about but I don´t think they look right in the van
Aside: The Swedish equivilent of Motor mag was at the Earls ourt show in 56 and did an article about caravans. One van caught their eye and was described as an easter egg.[img]
