I organised a Heartbeat Vehicle Rally at Goathland on 11th & 12th June, where several ex - Heartbeat Vehicle owners brought along their vehicles. The cars proved to be quite an attraction over the weekend, and I hope to organise a similar rally next year.

It took me several months and lots of phone calls to trace owners of these cars, as all of them had been sold on after Heartbeat finished in 2009.
I am hoping to contact more vehicle owners over the next few months, so wondered if any members here either own or know someone that owns a vehicle used in the program. There seems to have been quite a few different vehicles used during the series.

Information and pictures of this years event can be found on the Heartbeat Vehicle Rally page on Facebook.

I can be contacted on here or by email at heartbeat_rally@btinternet.com

Hi

One of my favourites too, just a shame they seem to crash a lot of cars.

Watching it at the moment! hehe It is on every day before I go to work!

Keep us informed on the rally, would be nice to come for a look around. Have you got any pics to post here of the event earlier this year?

Cheers

Dave

I don't have a TV, but I believe in one or two programmes there was a Royale caravan in the background.Greengrass's yard, perhaps? Let me know next year's date, and the Royale club might be able to show one of these wonderful old vans.

That would be interesting, the date has yet to be confirmed, I will let you know when it is.

Come on Emmerson it was a Safari not a Royale! Evidence below.

I have a Cheltenham Sable that was used in a few episodes. It is derelict and needing full rebuild, but the interior is saveable. It is a very early Sable (1958?) so if anyone wants a project PM me.

Hello Brian! As I said, I don't have TV, so hadn't seen the prog myself! Besides, Greengrass would not have been able to afford a class van like a Royale! Interesting, though, that nobody's mentioned the Austin Gipsy in that shot. Rare when in production, and very rare now, although my daughter and hubby have a few in their yard.

hi im new on here.
my names craig and i drive a series 3 landrover everyday ,my wife drives a 1965 hillman minx series 5 also daily. weve had a lot of classic cars over the years including=
a wolsley 1500 , a mk 2 jaguar, a 1949 austin a 40 devon ,3 austin a 30's a morris 1000, , an austin westminster , a princess 4 litre r, and numerous series landrovers .so were pretty keen on old cars and lorrys too, well anything british and old.
we come from mid wales between dolgellau and machynlleth in powys .theres a local car restorer here who used to do some of the cars in heartbeat for the crash scenes ,like paint jobs etc to make them look nice for the programme .i think he did some for the royal too .anyway enough about me, i look forward to chatting and enjoying the forum .
craig Very Happy

The Landrover ambulance used in Heartbeat and the Royal has now been re-imported to the UK and will shortly be up for auction at John Craddocks in Cannock.
