Press Release arrived today, could be a fun event, anyone here going?

---------------

An Americana extravaganza at the Prescott Autumn Classic

Prescott Speed Hill Climb, the Gloucestershire home of the Bugatti Owners' Club, will host two days of the biggest, brightest and brashest Americana for its end of season Autumn Classic event on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 October 2011.

Each of the one-day events will be a celebration of American automobilia; vintage hot rods, flatheads and muscle cars will compete for your attention alongside iconic motorcycles and crowd-pullers such as FB Racing's 1934 Ford Coupe. Powered by an all-aluminium, 1000bhp Ford V8 and supplemented by a nitrous system adding a further 500bhp, this fully road-legal car can run a quarter mile in just 7.8 seconds, making it the fastest Street Rod in Europe.

Also in attendance will be the Ford V8 Owners Club, displaying an impressive range of vehicles. Among them will be classic like the 1934 Model 40 Phaeton, 1938 Model 81A Fordor Sedan, 1930 Model A Coupe and many more.

There will be plenty of family entertainment throughout the weekend including the return of the incredible Wall of Death. Run by the Ken Fox Troupe on 1920s Indian Motorcycles, this death-defying spectacular is back by popular demand. The Stars & Stripes theme continues with 1950s swing and rock 'n' roll classics performed Sam & his Sax at the paddock.

Prescott is also delighted to welcome back The Steam Car Club of Great Britain. The Club was formed in recognition of the ever increasing interest in steam cars. It has since grown into the largest and most respected Club in Europe. Seeing the cars take to Prescott hill during the racing interval is a sight to behold.

Speaking of the hill, Classic American cars will be competing on the famous hill climb course on Saturday while Sunday will host V8 flatheads and hotrods of all ages, with regular cavalcades on both days.

The weekend would not be complete without the essential American breakfast served at the clubhouse diner or popcorn, hotdogs and shakes from the classic street vendors.

With American club stands, cheerleaders, a vintage hot rod display and a concours competition for custom cars and rods, the Prescott Autumn Classic is an extravaganza of Americana with a focus on fun.
