Copied over in case anyone fancies helping out:
--------------------------------------------
Hi
I dont know if you can help me. I am a producer working for Community Youth
Theater in Wolverhampton. As part of our scheme this year the British Film
Institute have awarded us a grant to produce a 9 minute short film with
kids ages 10-19. They have a script locked down which involves the life and
times of a Morris Minor. It will be 6 90sec comedy pieces about the life
and trials of this guy Morris and his minor. We have the Morris Minor
already as the other producer actually owns one but we are in desperate
need of other classic cars from the periods 50-90's. I think we have
acquired some 50s cars but i am in real need of the equivalent of the
sports car in the seventies.
The first film is shown on a garage forecourt from the 50s and we are going
to be using the Black Country Museum for this and we have some period cars
already but we need some new looking models.
I don't know if you could help with this by posting to your members or
pointing me in the right direction. It would be great for people to get
involved with this and to see their cars on film. It is being shown at the
Lighthouse in Wolverhampton on the 11th March this year. The team putting
this together are industry professionals who have worked across a number of
well known TV shows. So we are expecting a very high standard of filming.
Best,
Louise

Two important bits of information missing from the original link
1; Fees and expenses
2; How much insurance cover do they have?
I have hired out cars and motorcycles to the filim and theatre industries and they invariable comeback marked. If there is no contract or insurance cover for the production company, you need to ask who will pay if anything goes wrong. |

I can always remember the sunny days in Sussex, as lived in Hastings, good old Sussex by the sea ! I did see Winston Churchill at Hastings. |
