I've a clock in the garage, mounted in a pod, which I think is roof-mounted and from a Ford, probably 1950s. Does anyone know which models (if any) had this feature? I'm guessing at Mk2 Consul/Zephyr...?

thanks, R

Rick, i had a 1958 high line Zodiac, and that had the clock pod in the roof. It was above the windscreen in the centre. Later, i had a low line Zephyr, about a 1960 ish, but if that had similar i can't recall.

Interesting, thanks, I'll see if I can find a photo of one online to compare it with. It's in a mid-grey surround if I remember right.

thanks, R

Hi Rick, as far as I remember the clock was standard on the Zodiac & an optional extra on the Zephyr. I think the one in mine has been retro fitted as I seem to remember they were in a gray pod & not black.

Bit blurred but I took it in a dark garage & my eyes are failing(along with everything else) Cheers,JD.

Thanks JD, I'll dig mine out and see if it's the same or not

I'm slipping tonight - seeing the thread title had visions of trying to read the time on an external roof mounted clock! Nurse quickly ------

Worcetershire ??? Never heard of it ! I did live in Worcestershire and sang in Worcester Cathedral once. I could walk down the road, from home, and then I was in Staffordshire.

See !! I could not copy Worcsetershire correctly ! Back to the red wine and the cricket is on to-night. The Aussies playing the Indians in a twenty over match. Good fun ! Expected 60,000 people at the ground. Go the Aussies !

That clock is exactly the same as the one in our 1958 Zodiac!
