These ball-joints came from a car-boot-sale in a box of piston-ring sets which were for various vehicles from the 1930s to the 1950s. From the BSF threads, I'd guess they must be for something from the early 50s at the latest, and probably earlier (possibly a large saloon, or a commercial?).
According to the grease-proof paper the manufacturer is "B & A". They are very well greased, and apart from some light external rust on the tubular shank, the only defect is a ding in one of the steel cup dust-seals. Only one has a grease nipple fitted. The shank is threaded internally at 18 TPI. It is hard to be certain of the O.D. of this thread, but it looks like 15/16" to me. The wrapping says "Track-rod ends", but I guess it might be just possible they are suspension ball-joints.
If anyone can identify them they can have them for the postage cost - £4.90 First-class (only to UK).
