Will you all please have a look at the following photo taken sometime in the early 1950s of the Llanrwst market square and see if you can identify any of the vehicles parked there .

A second view from around the same time and lastly a much older one probably from the 1930s or earlier.

Would you believe that the town council decided, in their wisdom, to recommend the demolition of this magnificent building and it was pulled down in the early 1960s thus depriving today's generation the focal point of a rural historic town.
Quite ridiculous.
The Llanidloes council in mid Wales was wiser and had foresight.

Agree with you on the Austin and Minx, however, the rear doors on the Wolseley appear to be rear hinged making it a larger model than an 8. |

Could the fourth car be a mid-thirties Standard?
I think that's a Ford Pilot in the bottom corner of the second photo. |

First car is a Wolseley, possibly a 9?
I thought the van might be a Jowett Bradford, but yes it is probably an Austin Eight.
My first thought for the third car was Bond Minicar - but it could also be a Hillman Minx or MK1 Consul.
Pretty sure the fourth car is a Ford Model Y. _________________ Richard Hughes |

Yes #3 is definitely an early 50s Minx.
The car is the bottom left of the second photo is a bit of a challenge. Would anyone second my suggestion of a Ford V8 Pilot?

I'm pretty sure that the first car is an early postwar Wolseley 10, and the last one is a 1935 Standard 9
Sorry about the large photo, it was the only one that I coulld find
I'll go along with the general view for the other three, but what about the bus ?
