Bought my 109 FFR (fitted for radio) about 2 years ago now ...came with a spares vehicle too.
Ex-military Fitted For Radio 109" series 3,spent a goodly amount of time in N.I. And had been fitted with a HVPK (High velocity protection kit) to prevent small arms/rifle rounds penetrating the vehicles skin (AND that of the occupants )
Actually pretty late in Landrover terms being a 1983 as production of the series range stopped shortly after and the 90/110/Defender took over .
2 1/4 litre petrol with fairly hideous fuel consumption but almost totally original even down to the black out blinds over the side windows .
Sadly the HVPK and radio gear it carried are long gone BUT work is slowly in progress to re-fit some of the radio gear and 24v gear .
Pictures of when i first picked it up complete with truck cab and Ifor williams top .
And then with the tilt refitted
Followed by the wing mounted antenna tuning boxes and side mounts
Then "Accidently" bought Ex-military Sankey narrowtrack trailer ....forgot about living in a terrace house and having nowhere to park it ....so i tow it round permanantly .
Its a bit of a work in progress ....BUT keeps me out of mischief and gets used every day for going to work or dragging stuff around ...or a spot of green laning .
Youtube clip of it action .....IF anyone is interested
