Do have fond memories of that Manta! Bought one in 1980 and everywhere kids remarked on the headlamp wipers. Here's my only car at the moment since one is away being worked on.
This one was sold lst year and hopefully I'll get the pleasure of seeing it race at the Le Mans Classic this year:-

I thought I include some other non car stuff, here's my Thwaites Orion (date of manufacture unknown - any suggestions?) that I restored and painted. And my 1941 Cat D4 that I retored and painted - new track chains, final drive oil seals etc etc.

Yes, I've got some photos of them at various stages of restoration etc, where should I stick the url's? I didn't like to overdo the photos as it's a car forum, but I like all old mechanical stuff - as I'm sure many others here do too! I've not taken a fancy to bees or penny farthings yet - though there's still time

Julian, I look forward to seeing pictures of the toys you have, during restoration, I wouldn't worry about over doing the pictures of non car stuff, I love seeing pictures and information as I am sure Rick and most of the other members do..
I think the Rollers need introducing to keep mine company...
Bees and Penny Farthings, I have big hopes for you in the latter catagory, you are the right size and build, and recon you would quite enjoy it, add to that you haven't ruled it out as many do straight away...
You have 7 or 8 more years to get good, then we have a race to take part in....
Cheers
Dave
P.S... To keep on thread here are some of our toys:-
Cheers

I would like a go, I was rather intimidated on boxing day by that busy main road and all the drivers rubber necking the steamers - not the best of places to start wobbling all over the show
I've come tumbling off horses a few times, so I've an idea what hitting the deck, not feet first, from a height is like!
