Probably the best weekend for a long time, both weather and classic car spotting . Off to Worcestershire on Saturday I spotted an immaculate red Healey 3000 and a late 40s American coupe, possibly a Dodge, both in the Hagley area. Tenbury as usual lived up to expectations, within a minute of arriving I had seen a Series two E type 2 +2, an early MGB GT on steel wheels and a Midget.
However the highlight was yesterday, near Shelsley Walsh although I don't think that there was anything on. First the 1911 Sunbeam racing car I think that I mentioned in these pages a few years back, followed a couple of minutes later by a primrose yellow Dino 246GT . After that a an Alfa Spider (S3?) and a couple of Triumph Spitfires today was very much an anti-climax. |

Was it this one?

That photo was taken last year when it was first around. I was talking to the driver, it was going for some engine work on behalf of the owner. I thought I saw it the other weekend, but wasn't sure it was the same car. If I see him again I'll mention the brake lights. |

Hi
Seen today;
I've been along the A616 a few times lately and this old tractor at Midhopestones is now in the middle of the paddock rather than in the corner.
Then down in Tintwistle I am sure I caught sight of the rear half of an AMC Pacer in Pink. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

Hi
Been to Leicester today and found these two only 20yds apart..
Came back through Tintwistle again and it doesn't look like a Pacer after all particularly if it is what's on Streetview.
I did say it was only a glimpse

We passed a red Mk1 Fiesta this morning. Looked like it had a recent paint job. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

That's been around for a while, I saw it early last year.
On Saturday afternoon I passed another American car that I don't have a clue about. I'm going to say late 60s or early 70s, a lighter green than the Plymouth above, a 2-door saloon rather than a coupe shape. Other than that, I have nothing. It was parked on the side of the road with a more modern car behind it, I wondered if it was a breakdown or maybe just pausing to wait for the rain to drop a bit.
Lots of stuff yesterday, of course. |
