We were in Wells yesterday, spotted loads out and about. A 30s Pachard going to a wedding, a lovely E Type Jag, a J reg blue Morris 1000 and an old P reg London Taxi which was for sale. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

I saw a couple of old American pick-ups while I was on the way back from Combermere Abbey this afternoon. |

On the way back from the shop yesterday morning, a low-ish flying jet passed over that I thought was a Meteor, but an image search suggests was something else. Pods at the end of the wings rather than part-way along. |

Yes, that's the name I was searching for, thanks. Or possibly a BAC Strikemaster. |

Just now[well, half an hour ago!] in the village where I live, a 105E-type Ford Anglia...probably a 1200cc engine [full width chrome grill]...
Accelerated past me well, sounded just like the Ford OHVs of old...and the exhaust smelt like that of the '60's/70's I remember so well.....Gotta be a better smell than the rotten egg pongs of today's catalysed heaps. Good nick too...unspoilt [none of this Carlos Fandango stuff] _________________ Dellow Mk2, 1951 built, reg 1952.

Hi
I suppose we shouldn't question your IDs Rick.
Was it a bulge or was it a similar lump to the one on the MGC.

Whilst attending [turning up?] a local area Mustang get-together in Howden...[with my Mustang!!] just as I was thinking of departing, up turned a very clean MGC [soft toppy-thing]..and a pre-wawer large MG saloon.... _________________ Dellow Mk2, 1951 built, reg 1952.
