Strangely the real Italian Job cars had dissimilar number plates.
Peter.

I have just taken the wife's daily driver to the local garage for its MOT, the old chap there is past retirement and I always have a chat as he likes motorbikes.
Today in the back workshop I spot a lovely restored old bike. He let me take a look and we had a chat about it, its a 1937 Rudge Ulster and it was his fathers. Its a superb machine. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

...and they all have GB stickers - in the same place on each car, too!
Pity they are a bit too modern! |

Thanks for posting that - I saw these three cars yesterday afternoon, and had totally forgotten about them. They were heading in the direction of Nantwich at the time. |
Looks like the same trio that we spied near here earlier in the year. They just need a big old Bedford VAL to complete the scene!

They all had bows on the back, and the drivers were suited and booted, I suspect they were used fore a wedding?

Is this for real? Look at the very similar number plates. Did they al come new from a single dealer and survive? |
Looking at the DVLA website; non of them can originally have been a "J" reg

This was on the opposite carriageway when I first saw it, so I got off the next roundabout and (eventually) caught it up. 34092 City of Wells. |

Hi
I had to sightings of a WWII US Army ambulance near Heywood at lunchtime.
I think it was a Dodge, WC9 or possibly a WC45.
Also a red, chrome bumper, MGB roadster with a black hard top on the Grane Rd near Blackburn. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

I spotted this parked outside my house this morning :
Any Allegro is a rare sight on our roads these days but this one was in excellent original condition and the paintwork - Sandglow - I think, looked factory applied.
The model was a "Super". _________________ Starting Handle Expert

My mate bought one of them as his first car in 1980. It was a 1500cc (I think) with square steering wheel.
Bloody awful 😀

The list was long and distinguished!
I drove my late uncle's 1750 SS once and that was quite a powerful beast. _________________ Starting Handle Expert

Just done a tour of Northen Spain, mostly in the mountains and conducted by Classics on the Road who are on FB and Instagram if anyone fancies a few hundred miles somewhere beautiful on properly maintained roads without traffic.

We were just passed by a Bedford CF beavertail carrying a much more modern car to the local scrappers. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |
