Chaps, I am looking for some decent sized oil drip trays. All the ones I have seen seem to be about 3" tall and I don't want this because I'll be tripping over them. Anyone got any suggestions for trays which are only say 1" high in the sidewall and a decent length, say 3' long? |

Rich,
Have a look in the gardens centres for the long shallow trays that they sell for greenhouses.

I don't use trays, simply put a cheap bit of plywood (or other wood sheet) down.
The wood seems to keep on absorbing oil drips for years with out the need to empty and no need danger of knocking anything over.

Failing all that, get some 3" tall ones and cut the top 2" off. |

I'm a firm believer in good old cardboard, can be found at any bike shop,as the cartons bikes come in are a good size. Most shops will gladly give them to you as it saves them paying dumping fees. |

Some good ideas there, thanks. My wife, bless her, already suggested the trays for greenhouses, she's an avid gardener. But I love the one, buy 3" tall ones and cut off 2" ' |

Try a local pizza place or restaurant - they use big, flat trays. _________________ Mike - MVPeters at comcast.net

Thanks guys, my wife has said what I need are 'grow bag trays' cost about £10 at the garden centre so that's what I'll do. |

I just use carpet, believe it or not. I got a big role of old carpet that was used in a hallway somewhere and simply rolled it the entire length of the parking area. It absorbs the oil and you can't even see it on the carpet! |
