I am planning to remake my "ragtop" which is literally in tatters. When I bodged up the one that came with it, I invented a method to attach the front of the hood fabric when the hood is up. I would now like to do it correctly. The car is a 1935 Austin 10 but I think that a, Austin 7 Pearl and possibly certain other cars will give me clues.

I already found a fantatic range of photos on an Austin 7 site but I would really appreciate getting photos that show exactly the detail I want. The photos are not my own and are of Austin 7's, I think.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Unfortunately I no longer have my 34 10/4 cabrio, forerunner of the Colwyn. I have these photos, they may not be much help sorry but you never know - as far as I know the roof was original.

Thanks Rick, I will download your photos. The angle of view I need is not quite there but there is some nice original detail there that will be useful.

You had a lovely car there. Did you restore it before selling?

Nope it went as-is, I disposed of several project cars and bought one replacement - a Dodge tourer - that's nearing the road.
