I want to fit a brass rubbing strip to the passenger entrance to my Alldays which has a double curvature around 1.5m in length.
Does anyone have an idea of how make a template so I can get it cut and engraved? _________________ Richard |

Hi
I notice that no-one has yet come up with any ideas so:
I had a look back at the pics of the Alldays, lookiing at that the side panel has the double curvature but it also looks as if you would want to have the brass rolled over the edge and slightly down the side as well, so gettng close to a triple curve.
I think you might have to make a copy of the side panel and then hand beat brass strip around the former (planishing) to fit. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

Originally it was a square edged strip.
I suppose the only way is to make a paper template but seeing as I am pants at stuff like this maybe there was a 'better' way.

Hi
Any chance of a pic of what your trying to do, or where you want it to cover?
I can't grasp it either, but there is normally many ways to attack the job.
Cheers
