Just a quick question.
I found these in the back of the garage when I unearthed my Ruby, I'd forgotten they were still there. They seem to sell for a lot on ebay so I thought I'd clean them up.
The problem is they are to my mind quite badly marked, I suppose rust pits. I've tried every thing to hand to clean them (including aluminium foil) but the marks are still there.
I know MG people can be quite particular about appearances so I don't want to spend hours trying to improve them if they are only worth £10.
Pretty much like the last photo here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MG-Midget-Austin-Healey-Sprite-rear-bumper-/171127230285 maybe a little worse.
It seems to me to be a little dishonest to sell them but maybe they are rare enough that people don't mind.
What do you reckon? |

I know, awful aren't they? I'll see how well they scrub up and then put them on with lots of closeup photos. |

As long as you sell it as used or spares / repairs in the advert and make
it clear in the text and the photos that there is pitting / rust spots you
should be fine.
Good luck |
