I have treated myself to a new blasting cabinet.
So what to use as an abrasive.
What would i use on heavy corrosion on something like cast iron?
What's best on a thin steel heater box housing..just paint removal?
I have several alloy wheels that have lost the coating..what could I use that won't damage the alloy but remove the laquer?
Looking forward to any advice on getting the best out of the cabinet. _________________ Rust Junky & oil addict. |

What do the makers of the cabinet recommend. You could also ask advice in one of your local alloy wheel refurbishers. Worth a try. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

I worked for an aircraft component overhaul and repair firm in Saudi Arabia for many years. One of the projects was the overhaul of F15 wheels for the RSAF. The only process the wheel manufacturers approved of for paint removal was plastic bead blasting. |
