These are a couple of PCL tyre inflators I have recently restored. The Maroon one is from the forties and came from the Yorkshire area, and the red one is from the early sixties from the Surrey area.
The red gauge is the 'Presetair' model where you preset the pressure required by turning the knob on the side. A bell rings to let you know the tyre is inflating and stops when the preset pressure is reached.

I have three others awaiting restoration: a Dunlop, a Laycock (on pillar) and a Tecalemit. I'll post pictures when done.[/img] |
